Brown and a native of Suffolk, died Tuesday morning in Hampton Veterans Medical Center. He was a retired 27 year employee of Norfolk Naval Supply Center and a Navy veteran of World War II. He was a member of Union United Church of Christ. Other survivors include a son, Frank T. Brown of Chesapeake; five sisters, Mrs. Marie Whittaker of Richmond, Mrs. Mildred Fisher of Flint, MI, Mrs. Lucille Hunter of Jamaica, NY, Mrs. Addie Kindred of Providence RI, and Mrs. Christine Stewart of Suffolk; five brothers, Bishop Richard T. Brown of Suffolk; Bishop Arlandus Brown of Wichita Falls TX; Joseph Brown of Portsmouth, Bennie Brown of Norfolk, nd Phillip Brown of NY. A funeral will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. in Union United Church of Christ by the Rev. Joseph M. Copeland. Burial with military honors will be in Calvary Cemetery. The body will be in church Saturday at 10 a.m. Riddick Funeral Service has charge and the family will assemble at his home.
