Funeral services for Mrs. Mamie Brown, 36, 2757 Glasgow street, Portsmouth, 
who died in a Portsmouth hospital August 14, were held at Hale Chapel, August 
17. Born in Roanoke, NC, Mrs. Brown had lived in this section seven years. 
Surviving is her husband, Carter Brown. Burial was in Calvary Cemetery.
