The funeral of James J. Brown, 65, of 528 Fenchurch street, who died in the U. 
S. Marine Hospital on November 28 was held at Hale's Chapel on December 2 with 
the Rev. W. A. Calendar, hospital chaplain, officiating. Mr. Brown, a native 
of this section for 40 years, was a seaman on the tug St. John of the Merchant 
Marine. The remains were interred in Calvary Cemetery.
