Norfolk Ledger-Dispatch February 28, 1953
Miss Annie Bayliss Brown, 84, a long-time resident of Norfolk, died at 6 a.m. 
today at the home of her nephew, Dixon Brown, in Hampton.
She was born in Williamsburg, November 23, 1868, but moved to Norfolk when a 
small child. She resided in Norfolk until she moved to Hampton about eith months 
ago. She was an active member of the McKendree Methodist Church, Norfolk.
Graveside services will be held in Elmwood Cemetery, Norfolk, at 3 p.m. Sunday, 
with the Rev. Arthur Cooley, pastor of McKendree, officiating.
Pallbearers will be Claybrook Griffin, Clarence Davis, George Austin, Carlisle 
Tatem, Eley Musselman and Luther Gillikin.
She is survived by her nephew. Her father was the late Dixon Brown and her 
mother the late Fannie Wells Brown, both of Norfolk.
