Norfolk Ledger-Dispatch August 27, 1910
George S. Brown died this morning at 5:10 o’clock at his home, No. 531 37th 
street, Park Place, after a long illness, aged 38 years.
The deceased was a native of Virginia and had lived here four years. He was well 
known and highly esteemed. He is survived by his wife and a young son, George S., 
Jr. The funeral occurs at 1 p.m. tomorrow at the grave in Elmwood Cemetery, Rev. 
W. H. T. Squires, of Knox Presbyterian Church, officiating.
