She was a native of Chatham County, N.C., and had been a resident of Norfolk practically all of her life. She was the daughter of the late Samuel Wesley and Mrs. Margaret Oliver Brown. Surviving her are a daughter, Mrs. Grayson Hughes Lacy, and a son, Ralph M. Brown, of Norfolk; a half-sister, Mrs. Adell Burgess, and a half-brother, W. A. L. Cornick, of Norfolk, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted this afternoon at 2 o’clock from the funeral home of James V. Derry, 346 West Princess Anne road. The Rev. S. Hugh Bradley, pastor of the Knox Presbyterian Church, and Rev. W. H. T. Squires will officiate. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
