Norfolk Landmark February 4, 1885
Mr. Thomas M. Brown, formerly of Portsmouth, died suddenly at Windsor, N.C., on 
Tuesday. He was in the fiftieth year of his age. The funeral will take place from 
the Norfolk and Southern depot at 11 a.m. today and the burial ceremonies will 
occur at the Elmwood cemetery in Norfolk, where his friends and acquaintances are 
invited to attend.
