Mrs. Brown was born in Norfolk. She retired from Leland Cleaners after 33 years and was a member of First Baptist Church, Lamberts Point. She was the widow of Otis Brown. Survivors include a daughter, Rae Purnell of Norfolk; a son, Ernest A. Holmes of Fort Washington, Md.; two sisters, Lula S. Lewis and Dorothy S. Thompson, both of Norfolk; and four grandchildren. The funeral will be conducted at noon Monday in First Baptist Church, Lamberts Point, by the Rev. Anthony Paige. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery . A wake will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Pretlow & Sons Funeral Home.
