Mrs. Brown was born in Everetts, N.C. She was a member of First Pentecostal United Holiness Church in Norfolk. Survivors include a daughter, Anne Mae Garner of Chesapeake; four sons, James E. Brown of Washington, D.C., Earl C. Brown of Silver Spring, Md., William H. Brown of Langley Park, Md., and Johnny E. Brown of Lafayette Ind.; six sisters, Marie Boyd and Glendale Crawford, both of New York, Josephine Spencer of Pennsylvania, Gertrude Hedgepeth, Betty Lou Bailey and Dorothy Macon, all of North Carolina; three brothers, Augusta Teel of North Carolina and Johnny Teel and William Teel, both of New York; and 10 grandchildren. The funeral will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday in First Pentecostal United Holiness Church by the Rev. A. Ray Rouson. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery . Friends may join the family from 6 to 8 p.m. today in Hale Funeral Home and other times at 1307 Summerset Court.
