Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Thursday, April 16, 1992
Frances Drew Brown of the 400 block of Stuart Circle, a retired clerk, died
April 13, 1992, in a hospital.

Mrs. Brown was born in Norfolk and had retired from the Norfolk public schools
after 25 years. She was a member of St. John's A.M.E. Church and its stewardess
board and was a charter member of Jack & Jill Club. She was the widow of Allen
D. Brown Sr.

Survivors include three sons, Allen Brown Jr. and W. Donald Brown, both of
Norfolk, and Robert D. Brown of Portsmouth; nine grandchildren; and two
great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in St. John's A.M.E. Church by
the Rev. I.W. Knight. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery . Friends may join the
family at the residence. Hale Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
