Virginian Pilot January 3, 1899

Mrs. Virginia Ann Brown, relict of the late Captain Edward Brown, departed this 
life at her home on Third street, Atlantic City Ward, at 11:15 a.m. Sunday, at the 
ripe age of 77 years.  The funeral was held from LeKies Memorial M.E. Church, 
South, at 3 o'clock yesterday afternoon.  The pastor, Rev. W.T. Williams, 
conducted the services, assisted by Rev. E.E. Dudley, of Central Avenue Baptist 
Church.  The remains were laid to rest in Elmwood Cemetery.
