Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - March 21, 1992

Richard Elwood Brown Sr., of the 4900 block of Pleasant Ave., an engineer, 
died March 17, 1992, in a hospital.
Mr. Brown was born in New York City and was employed with Byler Industries 
of Virginia Beach.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara A. Brown; three daughters, Latoya Brown 
of Norfolk, Tanisha Brown of Philadelphia and Angie Turner of New York; five 
sons, Richard E. Brown Jr., Richard Brown, Lamont Brown and Jamik Brown, all 
of New York, and Paul Davis of Norfolk; his mother, Felicia Hawks of 
Norfolk; two sisters, Phyllis J. Hood of Chesapeake and Alicia Heath of 
Norfolk; four brothers, William Brown of Richmond, Lee Brown of South 
Carolina, Robert Brown of Trenton, N.J., and Melvin Brown of Norfolk; and 
four grandchildren.
A memorial service will be conducted at 1 p.m. today in St. Mark R.Z.U.A. 
Church by the Rev. James Oliver Allen. Burial will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in 
Magnolia Cemetery. Friends may join the family at 2013 Coral Ave., 
Chesapeake. Fitchett Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
