New Journal and Guide, January 7, 1961

Final rites will be held at Warren Funeral Home Chapel at 1 p.m. on Saturday for
General Lee Brown, 55, of 822 Virginia Beach boulevard.

Elder Samuel A. Wilson will officiate and burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.

A native of Hertford, N.C. Mr. brown was the son of Thomas Brown and Mrs. Fannie
Brown. He lived in Norfolk 25 years.

Survivors include two brothers, Thomas H. Brown of Norfolk and James O. Brown of
Suffolk; and two sisters, Mrs.Mattie W. Jones of Norfolk and Mrs. Mary Harrel of
Ahoskie, N.C.
