She was a native of Norfolk and the daughter of Curtis Lee Brown and Betty Harris Brown Lawrence. She was employed at Norfolk Health Care Center and attended Norfolk public schools. Survivors include a daughter, Fraya Champree Brown of the home; two sons, Travis Montrel Brown and infant Jaquqn Avery Brown; mother and stepfather, Betty H. Brown Lawrence and Isaac Lawrence of Norfolk; father, Curtis L. Brown, Sr. of Washington, D.C.; three sisters, Sherry Y. Brown, Wanda G. Brown and Charish D. Brown, all of Norfolk; one stepsister, Cursilla Brown of Washington; a brother, Curtis Lee Brown, Jr. of Norfolk; one stepbrother, Akin Brown of Washington; grandmothers, Louise Bell Harris and Essie Lou Brown; three aunts; five uncles; numerous great uncles and cousins and other relatives and friends and a special friend, Richard Williams. A funeral will be conducted at noon Monday at St. John's A.M.E. Church by Rev. A. Ray Rauson, pastor of First Pentecostal United Holy Church of America. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery. Viewing will be from 1 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Riddick Funeral Service, where the family will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday. The funeral will assemble at the home of Isaac B. and Betty H.
