NORFOLK - Funeral rites for Lloyd Brown of 1212 ½ Chapel street were conducted
Sunday in Union Christian Church with burial following in Calvary Cemetery. 
Hale Funeral Home had charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Brown, a native of Hobbsville NC, died March 8 in a hospital.  He was a son
of John and Mrs. Charlotte Brown and the husband of Mrs. Mary Brown.  The
deceased was a member of Union Christian Church and a Mason.

Surviving, besides his widow, are a stepson, Paige Corprew; a sister, Mrs. Ethel
Boone;  a sister-in-law, Mrs. Lizie B. Riddick;  two nieces, Mrs. Mabel White
and Mrs. Lizzie B. Riddick;  two nieces, Mrs. Mabel White, Mrs. Cassie Drumgold;
 a nephew, Connell Brown,a step granddaughter, Mrs. Shirley Jones;  a
stepgrandson, Leon Corprew, and other relatives.
