Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Wednesday, January 2, 1991 
Helen Bunting Brown, 88, a native of Norfolk, died Dec. 31, 1990, in her home.

Mrs. Brown was the widow of Harrison Oliver Brown and was a member of Ginter 
Park Presbyterian Church. She was a 1961 honors graduate of Old Dominion 
University and had attended Hollins College. She was a former national 
secretary of Kappa Delta Sorority. She wrote poetry.

Survivors include two sons, Dr. H. Oliver Brown of Flemington, N.J., and J.L. 
Bunting Brown of Richmond.

The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday in H.D. Oliver Funeral 
Apartments, Norfolk, by the Rev. Robert P. Davis. Burial will be in Elmwood 
Cemetery, Norfolk.

Memorial donations may be made to the fellowship fund of Westminster 
Canterbury, Richmond.
