Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Saturday, July 15, 2000 
George Reid Brown, 51, of the 9000 block of 11th View St., died July 12, 2000,
at his home.

He was born in Virginia Beach on Sept. 18, 1948, to Margaret Brown and Claude
Brown. He attended Norfolk Public Schools and served in the U.S. Marines. He was
a member of the Cavalier Doberman Pinscher Club of Virginia Beach. George was
employed as a car salesman at several dealerships.

He is survived by his mother, Margaret Brown Jackson; father, Claude Brown; his
brother, Samuel L. Brown; stepfather, Henry Moses Jackson; and a host of
friends. He will be missed deeply.

A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in the chapel of Pretlow and Sons
Funeral Home, Chesapeake. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery . Viewing
will be Sunday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
