Norfolk Journal and Guide, Feb. 24, 1923
Mr. Rennard Brown, son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Brown, died at the residence on
Lexington street, Tuesday afternoon, February 20th, in his 24th year.  Mr. Brown
had been in failing health for two years, but was confined only a short while. 
His funeral took place from Grace P. E. Church, Friday afternoon and was largely
attended.  There were many beautiful floral designs.  The interment took place
in Calvary Cemetery.  He is survived by his parents, a wife, Mrs. Eliza Spinney
Brown, a young son, one sister, and two brothers.
