Norfolk- Napoleon Lassell Brown, 61, of 2813 Ballentine Blvd., husband of Mrs. 
Catherine Holcombe Brown and son of Napoleon Thomas and Mrs. Pearl Estell 
Gallup Brown died Sunday at 5:45 p.m. in a hospital.

A native of Princess Anne County, he was a painter and a member of the Baptist 
Church.

Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons, Edwin Lester Brown of the Air 
Force stationed in Alaska, and Noland Lassalle Brown of the Navy stationed at 
Little Creek; a daughter Mrs. Ethel Mae Jones of Hampton and a half-brother 
Robert C Henley of Norfolk, two half-sisters, Mrs. Dorothy Pulliam of Norfolk 
and Mrs. Edna Knight of Titusville, Fla., five grandchildren and two great-
grandchildren.

The body was taken to H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, Norfolk.
