She is now free from sickness, pain and sorrow. ``Mom Bobbie,'' as she was affectionately called by her neighbors, was born April 9, 1919 in Dothan, Ala., where was attended public school. She was the daughter of the late Sammie and Lula McElroy. She met and married the late Charlie Lee Brown and they relocated to Norfolk. She was a homemaker and she and her husband raised three children. Robbie Brown was a caring person donating her time helping other people, and baby sitting her neighbors' children. Later in life, she attended the Kingdom Hall of the Jehovah's Witnesses, Monticello Congregation, Norfolk. She leaves to cherish her memory two daughters, Edith Brown of Newark, N.J., Dorothy Brown DeGraffinreadt of Norfolk; a son, Charles Brown of Chesapeake; a grandson, Marcus Brown; and two cousins, Ruth Larkins and Jeff McElroy of Dothan. A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, Ingleside Drive, with burial in Calvary Cemetery . Hale Funeral Home is in charge.
