Norfolk- Funeral services for Mrs. Sarah Brown of 2944 Hollister avenue were
held Wednesday in St. John AME Church with the Rev. W. L. Hildebrand
officiating.  Burial was in the family plot of Calvary Cemetery with Hale
Funeral Home in charge.  A St. John deaconess and missionary, she was a native
of Edenton, NC, and was the widow of John Brown.  She died March 14 in a hospital.

Surviving are a granddaughter, Mrs. Geraldine Everett of Norfolk,
great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
