Norfolk - Floyd A. Brown, 40, of 927  Shelton Ave. died Tuesday in a Norfolk
hospital after a short illness.

He was a son of Charlie Brown and the late Mrs. Mary Liza Brown.  A native of
Courtland, he lived in Norfolk 25 years.

He was employed by National Maritime Union 12 years.

Surviving, besides his father, are one son, Kinsey Brown of Norfolk;  three
sisters, Mrs. Lucy Williams, Miss Lillian Brown and Mrs. Mary Garris of Norfolk;
 and two brothers, Robert Brown of Portsmouth and Arthur Brown of Boykins.

A funeral service will be held in Morning Glory Funeral Home Sunday at 1 p.m.
with burial in Calvary Cemetery.
