Arthur G. Brown , 95, of the 1600 block of Condor Ave., died March 1, 2000, in a 
Hampton hospital.

Mr. Brown was a native of Riverdale, Mich. He was the widower of Nellie Shalhoup 
Brown. He retired from the U.S. Navy as a chief warrant officer after 30 years.

Mr. Brown was a member of the Retired Officers Association and Fleet Reserve 
Association, Ocean View Branch No. 60, Norfolk.

Survivors include two sisters, Doris Junkin of Bertrand, Neb., Dorothy Van Emon of 
Homestead, Fla.; a brother, Cornell Brown of Grand Island, Neb.; and numerous 
nieces and nephews.

A chapel service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., 
Norfolk Chapel, by the Rev. Jay Wagner. Burial will be at St. Mary's Catholic 
Cemetery. The family will receive friends in the funeral home one hour prior to 
the service. Memorial donations may be made to Catholic Charities of Hampton 
Roads.
