Virginian-Pilot  December 25, 1940
Mrs. Delia Arnold Brown, aged 70, widow of John Brown, died at her residence, 818 
West Forty-ninth street, yesterday afternoon, at 5 o’clock. Mrs. Brown was a 
native of Ireland and a resident of Norfolk for the past five years. She is 
survived by one daughter, Mrs. Victor F. Johnson, and one grandson, Victor R. 
Johnson, both of Norfolk.

The body will be taken from the H. D. Oliver funeral apartments, 1501 Colonial 
avenue, to Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church for services, Thursday morning at 10 
o’clock. Interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
