Richard A. Brown, 73, Dies; Rites Saturday

NORFOLK — Richard Augustus Brown, 73, of 952 Rugby St., son of Herbert T. and Mrs. 
Sophie Bagnal Brown, died in a Norfolk hospital Sunday at 3:25 p.m. He was a 
member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. After finishing the Parish School here he 
attended St. Emma’s Industrial School, Belmeade, and became instructor in charge 
of the Painting Department. Leaving there, he conducted a painting business here 
for a number of years.

Funeral services will be conducted at St. Joseph Church Saturday at 10 a.m. Burial 
will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
