The Norfolk Virginian Pilot October 5, 1950

Miss Julia Elnora Brown, 76, daughter of Dixon and Mrs. Frances Wells Brown, 
died yesterday at 8:25 a.m. at a Norfolk hospital. A lifelong resident of 
Norfolk, she resided at 1724 Claiborne Avenue.
Surviving her are one sister, Miss Annie E. Brown, of Norfolk, and a nephew, 
Dixon Brown, of Hampton.
Funeral services will be conducted at H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments tomorrow 
at noon by the Rev. H.S. Chenault, pastor of McKendree Methodist Church, of 
which Miss Brown was a member. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
