John Wesley Brown, aged 78, died at a local hospital Saturday afternoon at 
2:30 o’clock after an illness of two weeks. He was a native of Princess Anne 
County and had lived in Norfolk 60 years. Mr. Brown is survived by several 
nieces and nephews. He was a member of McKendree Methodist Church and the 
Woodmen of the World.

The body was removed to the funeral home of E. Lee Cox & Bro., Westover Avenue 
at Manteo Street., pending funeral arrangements.
