The funeral service of Mrs. Martha L. Brown who died at her late residence, 615 
King St., was conducted from Emanuel A. M. E. Church, of which she has been a 
member of long standing, Tuesday afternoon at 3 o’clock, Dr. L. L. Berry 
officiating. The church will miss a loyal member, the community a respectable 
citizen. Floral tokens were many and beautiful. Interment was in Mount Olive 
Cemetery.
