Norfolk - Mrs. Gustealia V. Brown of 2820 E. Princess Anne Road died Saturday in 
a hospital.

A native of Norfolk County, she was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Richard 
Evans and the wife of Richard Brown. She worked 24 years for Norfolk Municipal 
Hospital and retired. She was a member of Mt. Hermon Baptist Church.

Surviving, besides her husband, are a daughter, Miss Alberta Evans; six sons, C. 
E. McRay, Bernard McRay, William McRay, Frederick G. Brown, Eli Brown, and 
Robert Brown; and four brothers, Wallace Evans, Richard Evans, Henry Evans, and 
Sidney Evans, all of Norfolk; six sisters, Mrs. Lucy King, Miss Veeta Evans, 
Miss Marie Evans, and Miss Alberta Evans of Norfolk, Mrs. Hattie Evans and Miss 
Louise Evans of Hickory; 20 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. in Mt. Hermon Baptist Church by 
the Rev. James Powell. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Morning Glory Funeral 
Home has charge.
