Browne-At her residence, No. 29 34th Street, Friday, January 5, 1912, at 3 
a.m., Mary Corprew Browne, widow of the late Dr. Thomas W. Browne, aged 71 
years.
Funeral will take place from her late residence, Saturday, January 6, at 3 p.m. 
Friends and acquaintances respectfully invited to attend.

Ledger-Dispatch, Fri., Jan. 5, 1912
Mrs. Mary Corprew Browne, widow of Dr. Thomas W. Browne, and daughter of the 
late David Corprew and Elizabeth Bartee Corprew, died at her residence, No. 29 
Thirty Forth Street, Park Place at 2 a.m. Friday morning, January 5, 1912.
The deceased was seventy-one years of age and is survived by two daughters, 
Mrs. John Whitehead and Miss Grave Corprew Browne, and two sisters, Miss Adelia 
T. Corprew and Miss Lois V. Corprew and one brother, Mr. David Corprew.
The funeral services will take place Saturday afternoon at 3 o’clock from the 
residence, the interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
Rev. Geo. Wesley Jones will conduct the services, assisted by Rev. R.A. Potts, 
of the Park Place Methodist Church.

The funeral of Mrs. Mary Corprew Browne, widow of Dr. Thomas W. Browne, 
occurred at 2 p.m. today from the residence, No. 29 34th Street, and was 
largely attended, Rev. G.W. Jones, of McKendree M.E. Church, and Rev. R.H. 
Potts, of Park Place M.E. Church, officiating. There were handsome floral 
tributes. Interment in Elmwood.
