John S. C. Brown
Norfolk-John Ship Cason Brown, 71, of Churchland died in a Norfolk hospital 
Sunday after a long illness.
A native of Norfolk, he lived in this area all of his life. He was a son of 
Moses and Annie Zela Cason Brown.
He is survived by a sister, Mrs. Myra Hummell, and a nephew, George Melvin 
Lawton, both of Churchland.
A funeral service will be conducted in Cox Funeral Home tomorrow at 3 p.m. 
by the Rev. Samuel D. McCammon Jr. of Green Acres Presbyterian Church. 
Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
