Virginian-Pilot June 112, 1936
Miss Mary L. Browne, daughter of the late Dr. Samuel J. and Mary Lamb Browne, died 
at 1:15 o’clock yesterday morning at a local hospital. Miss Browne was a native of 
Norfolk County and had been a resident of this section practically her entire 
life, residing at 514 Yarmouth street at the time of her death. She was a member 
of St. Paul’s Church. She is survived by one sister, Miss Rosa M. Browne. Services 
will be held at H. D. Oliver’s Funeral Apartments, 610-12 East Freemason street, 
this afternoon at 4 o’clock, with Chaplain William E. Callender, U.S.P.H.S., 
officiating. Interment will be private in Elmwood Cemetery.
