The Virginian Pilot and Norfolk Landmark January 5, 1935


Mrs. Grace Garrison Browne, aged 63, widow of Reverdy C Browne, and daughter of 
the late George G. and Anne Dalrymple Garrison, died at her residence, 
Chesapeake Lawn Avenue, Ocean View, yesterday afternoon at 4:45 o’clock. Mrs. 
Browne was a native of Princess Anne County and a resident of Norfolk for the 
past 55 years. She was a member of Ocean View Presbyterian Church.
Mrs. Browne is survived by a brother Robert Dalrymple Garrison, of Princess 
Anne County; a niece, Mrs. John N. Williams, Jr., of Norfolk, and five nephews, 
Glenn Joshua and Robert Custis Garrison, all of New York, Capt. William McB. 
Garrison, of North Carolina, and Dalrymple Garrison, of Washington, D.C. 
services will be held at H.D. Oliver’s Funeral Apartments, 510-12 East 
Freemason Street, Monday afternoon at 2 o’clock. Interment will be in Elmwood 
Cemetery.
