He was a native of Germany but had been a resident of Norfolk for the past 15 years, having formerly been a member of the Police Department. He is survived by a sister, who resides in Germany. Funeral services will be held tomorrow morning at 10 o’clock at H. D. Oliver's funeral apartments, 610-12 East Freemason street. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Charles W. Browne - Funeral services for Mr. Browne were conducted yesterday morning at 10 o’clock at the funeral apartments of H. D. Oliver, 612 Freemason street, by the Rev. A. J. Taylor, of St. Mary's Catholic Church. Pallbearers were Capt. W. A. Boggs, of the Norfolk Police Department; Capt. W. C. Cruett, Sergt. R. M. O’Brien, Sergt. E. C. Miller, James E. Prince and James T. Holland. Burial was in St. Mary's Cemetery.
