Mr. Robert J. Brown Sr., died at a local hospital Tuesday, March 30th, after a 
brief illness. The funeral occurred Friday afternoon from his late residence, 816 
Fremont street, Rev. J. A. Young, pastor of St. John’s A. M. E. Church, 
officiating. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Brown, a daughter Miss Brown, and 
two sons, Clarence of New York City, and Dr. J. Brown of Norfolk.
