NORFOLK — Mrs. Margaret McCourt Bruns, 74, of 149 Lafayette Ave., the widow of 
Raymond H. Bruns, died Monday in her home.

A native of Norfolk, she lived here all her life. She was a daughter of Frank and 
Mrs. Mary Griffin McCourt.

She was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church.

Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Margaret Noga of Norfolk, Mrs. Helen Bowerman 
of Virginia Beach, and Mrs. Shirley Gellikin of Panama; two sons, John J. Bruns of 
Norfolk and Raymond H. Bruns Jr. of Chesapeake; a sister, Mrs. Elizabeth B. Wood- 
send, and two brothers, the Rev. Fr. Francis J. McCourt and Charles McCourt, all 
of Norfolk; 25 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

The Rosary will be recited tonight at 8 in H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments.

A Requiem Mass will be celebrated Thursday at 11 a.m. in Holy Trinity Catholic 
Church. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery.

The family will be at 147 Lafayette Ave.
