Richard Laurence Bruun, Jr., 53, of the 8400 block of Chesapeake Blvd., passed 
away September 7, 2007, in DePaul Hospital.
Richard was born in Corpus Christi, TX. He was a longtime resident of Norfolk, VA, 
and the co-owner of Chesapeake Bay Heating and Cooling. Rick was known and loved 
by many in the Ocean View community. He was predeceased by his parents, Joseph R. 
and Lorraine I. Fabiszewski.
He was a loving father, grandfather and uncle who is survived by two daughters, 
Rachael Heiser and her husband, Ian, of Virginia Beach, VA, and Ashlie Bruun of 
Norfolk, VA; a son, Richard L. Bruun, III; a granddaughter, Marley Bruun; and 
three grandsons, Jason Heiser, Chase Bruun and Cameron Bruun; a nephew, Justin 
Cando; a niece, Katherine Cando; and his wife, Tracy M. Bruun.
A funeral service will be conducted Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Hollomon-Brown Funeral 
Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel, with Deacon Walker King officiating. The burial will 
follow in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the 
funeral home one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations 
may be made to the Norfolk SPCA.
