Bryant, on Berkley avenue, near the intersection of Eleventh street. His oldest son died yesterday morning at 2 o'clock from an attack of pneumonia, after an illness of three weeks, and another was removed to the Norfolk Protestant hospital yesterday morning, suffering from an attack of pneumonia and is thought to be in a very critical condition and his wife is on the verge of an attack of that dreaded disease. Bryant is the name of the deceased, who is 21 years of age, this being his second attack of the disease, the first occurring about a year ago. He was a machinist in the Norfolk and Southern shops, a member of Memorial M.E. Church and Thomas Jefferson Council, No. 109, Jr. O.U.A.M., this place and was well known and highly respected. The funeral will be conducted from the late residence this afternoon at 4 o'clock, Rev. W.H. Edwards, pastor of Memorial M.E. Church, officiating and the interment will be in Magnolia Cemetery. Josia L. is the name of the one taken to the hospital. He is 14 years old and has been sick about 10 days and was employed until his sickness at the E.H. Barnes Co. Mr. Bryant and family are from Harrellsville, N.C. and came here about a year ago. ******************************************************************* The funeral of the late K.Y. Bryant who died at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Bryant, in Berkley avenue, near Eleventh street, was conducted from the residence Sunday afternoon at 4 o'clock, Rev. V.W. Bargamin, pastor of Liberty Street M.E. Church, officiating. The interment was in Magnolia Cemetery. Thomas Jefferson Council No. 109, Jr. O.U.A.M., of which the deceased was a member, attended in a body. The services were well attended.
