Ive Bryant, 42, of 530 Church street, died March 28 in a local hospital 
following a short illness. Funeral services were held at Holy Temple Church at 
2 p.m. April 4 with the Rev. L. Sharpe officiating. Mr. Bryant was a native of 
Hertford NC and had lived in Norfolk about 36 years. Survivors are the mother, 
Mrs. Martha Cross; the wife, Mrs. Sylvester Bryant; two daughters, Miss 
Melvirn Bryant, and Mrs. Ivy Etta Blowe, of Norfolk; a brother, James T. 
Bryant, of New York City; a son, Theodore Bradley Bryant, and one grandchild, 
India Richetta Blowe.

Burial was in Calvary Cemetery with Hale's Funeral Home in charge.
