Bryant. Mr. Bryant, formerly of Berkley, died May 15 in Hanover after a long illness. The Rev. J. C. Diamond, pastor emeritus and the Rev. W. B. Westbrook will officiate at the rites. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, with Pretlow Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Mr. Bryant, a member of the deacon board of First Baptist Church for 40 years,was also a member of the church Busy Bee Club and the Wednesday Evening Prayer Band. He was a native of Kinston, and was formerly employed 15 years by the C. M. Baylor Lumber Company. He was the husband of the late Mrs. Jyancy Brant, and is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Amelia B. Coleman of Hanover; son-in-law, Vincent A. Coleman; a sister, Mrs. Maude J. Miller of Washington, DC; two brothers, James Bryant of Norfolk and Mr. B. F. Bryant; and three grandchildren, LaVerne and Suzette Coleman and Mrs. Mary J. Millery of Kinston.
