Virginian-Pilot April 3, 1971
HOUSTON, Tex. – Emmett D. Buchanan, 64, the husband of Mrs. Alice Overton Buchanan 
and a son of Charles Eugene and Mrs. Gertrude Churchill Buchanan, died in his home 
Friday at 8:30 a.m.
A native of Norfolk, he lived in Houston for 26 years, where he was general 
purchasing agent for Conrad Hilton Hotels.
Besides his wife, he is survived  by a brother, Doyle Buchanan, and a sister, Mrs. 
J. Leonard Storey, both of Norfolk.
A funeral service will be held Monday afternoon in Houston. Earthman Funeral Home 
has charge.
