Buchanan, whose death occurred Wednesday at the residence, 2841 Earlscourt avenue, were held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church yesterday morning at 10 o’clock, with the Rev. P. C. Blackburn, pastor, officiating. The Rev. E. P. Kilgalen, the Rev. P. P. Brennan, the Rev. A, J. Taylor, the Rev. Paul V. Heller, and the Rev. F. V. Bambrick were present in the sanctuary. During the service Dr. J. J. O'Keefe sang “Ave Maria” and several selections were rendered by the choir of St. Mary’s Academy, with Mrs. Joseph Lex as organist. There was a large attendance and a profusion of floral offerings. The casket was covered with a pall of red roses, white carnations, snapdragons and ferns. In his address at the conclusion of the mass, Father Blackburn paid tribute to the Christian life and character of Mrs. Buchanan. Interment was in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Services at the grave were conducted by Father Blackburn. The pallbearers were James T. Holland, J. B. Bell, Capt. H. M. L. Walton, S. E. Henderson, V. P. Bell, James Buchanan, Michael Buchanan and Charles B. Carroll.
