Virginian-Pilot  March 16, 1951
Walter Miller Buchanan, 43, son of the late Walter Scott and Mrs. Mary Galvin 
Buchanan, died at a Norfolk hospital yesterday at 3:30 p.m. Mr. Buchanan, a 
lifelong resident of Norfolk, resided at 2841 Earlscourt Avenue. He was employed 
as a clerk in the Norfolk postoffice.

Surviving him are four sisters, Miss Gertrude Buchanan and Mrs. Catherine Walton, 
both of Norfolk; Mrs. Paul B. Henderson, of Staunton and Mrs. John Evenson, of 
Norfolk, and two brothers, John J. Buchanan and Raymond E. Buchanan, both of 
Norfolk. The bodv was taken to the H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments pending 
arrangements.
