Buck Named Date It Would Occur ---He Was Accurate Ten days ago Charles A. Buck predicted that he would die on March 1st. The remains were brought to Berkley, his home yesterday afternoon, from Washington, N.C., for interment. His death occurred at the home of his father, in Washington Thursday, March 1st at 1:25. The funeral will occur from the Main Street Christian Church, Berkley, Sunday afternoon, interment at Magnolia Cemetery. Four weeks ago he went to the home of his father in Washington. Mr. Buck was an engineer for the Old Dominion Steamship Company and later the Norfolk County ferry company. Subsequently he was appointed district deputy for the Woodmen of the World, of this section. He organized several camps, among which was Berkley Camp 46. He was a member of the following orders: Marine Engineers and Beneficial Association 101; Elizabeth Camp 3 W.O.W.; Sagamore Tribe Red Men; Harmony Lodge 19 Odd Fellows; Old Dominion Employees Beneficial Association and Thomas Jefferson Council 109 Jr. O.U.A.M. The deceased was a member of the Christian denomination. Charles A. Buck was born in Washington, N.C., October 1873. He is survived by a wife, one daughter, a father and sister, the latter two of Washington. His wife was Miss Bertha C. Wright of this place. He was compelled to leave this section for Asheville, N.C. for his health, five months ago.
