A native of Front Royal, he had been a resident of Norfolk for the last 38 years. He made his home at 212 Chatham Circle. He was a son of James C. Buck and Mrs. Nannie Whyte Buck. He was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church. Besides his wife, Mrs. Mary Isabelle Poole Buck, he is survived by seven daughters, Miss Rita Buck, of the accounting department of the Ledger-Dispatch, Virginian-Pilot and Star; Mrs. G. S. Shaefer, Mrs. M. H. Todd, Jr., Mrs. D. G. Neal, Mrs. R. M. Simmons, Mrs. C. E. Browder Jr., and Miss Janet Buck, all of Norfolk; two sons, C. Warren Buck, also of Norfolk, and David Buck, of Washington, and one brother, O. Warren Buck, of Lutherville, Md. The body will be taken from the H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments to Christ the King Catholic Church for services Thursday at 10 a.m. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Rosary services will be conducted at the funeral apartments tomorrow at 7:30 p. m.
