NORFOLK — Mrs. Mary Isabel Buck, 83, of 3832 Chatham Circle, the widow of James 
Lee Buck and a native of Norfolk, died Thursday in a hospital.

She was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church and its Women’s Club, the 
Third Order of St. Francis, and Sherwood Forest Senior Citizens Club.

Survivors include seven daughters, Mrs. G F. Schaefer, of Atlanta, Mrs. M. H. Todd 
Jr., and Mrs. B. G. Neal, of Virginia Beach, Miss Rita Buck, Mrs. E. S. Dailey, 
and Mrs. Dorothy B. Simmons, of Norfolk, and Mrs. C. E. Broader, of Roanoke; two 
sons, C. Warren Buck, of King of Prussia, Pa., and David E. Buck, of Hyattsville, 
Md.; a sister, Mrs. Joseph I. Webster, of Bel Air, Md.; a brother, J. Eugene Poole 
Sr., of Norfolk; 34 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

A Christian Wake service will be held tonight at 7 in H. D. Oliver Funeral 
Apartments. A funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday at 9:30 a.m. in Christ the 
King Catholic Church with burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
