Norfolk Journal and Guide, May 21,1977
Norfolk - Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Buffaloe of 1350 Marshall Ave., the wife of 
William Buffaloe Sr. and a Norfolk native, died Wednesday, May 11 in a 
hospital.

She was a member of Macedonia United Church of Christ.

Other survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Mozell Ellis and Miss 
Gwendolyn Buffaloe of Norfolk, and Miss Carolyn Buffaloe of Brooklyn;   
seven sons, Chief William Buffaloe Jr. of Governors Island, NY;  Robert 
Buffaloe, Benjamin Buffaloe, and Thomas Buffaloe of Brooklyn, Frederick 
Buffaloe of Oceanside, CA, Stanley Buffaloe of Virginia Beach, and Bernard 
Buffaloe of Norfolk;  a sister, Miss Lola Harris of Norfolk;  four brothers, 
Leroy Ames, George Harris, and James P. Harris of Norfolk, and Norman Harris 
of Brooklyn and 18 grandchildren.  

The body was tkane to Hale Funeral Home.

Per death certificate, burial took place in Calvary Cemetery.
