A native of Norfolk, he was the husband of the late Mrs. Mary Rebecca Williams Bugg and a son of William Palmer and Mrs. Sallie A. Preston Bugg. During World War I, he was in charge of the War Camp Community Service here. He was presented a New Zealand flag of commendation from the expeditionary forces for entertaining the men during their wartime stay in Norfolk. He was a retired sales representative of J. S. Bell Co. He was a member of First Church of Christ, Scientist. Surviving are a son, Robert H. Bugg of Norfolk; a niece, Mrs. Charlotte Bugg Lamb of Virginia Beach; and two nephews, Wadsworth Bugg of Richmond and Richard A. Bugg of South Dartmouth, Mass. A funeral service will be held Friday at 2 p.m. in Cox Funeral Home by Dean W. Miller, reader of First Church of Christ, Scientist. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to the building fund of First Church of Christ, Scientist.
