Virginian-Pilot February 15, 1945
Mrs. Lucy Eggleston Bull, mother of Mrs. Roy C. Deal, of 706 Baldwin Place, 
Norfolk, died at her home in Scranton, Pa., Tuesday. She was the widow of the 
Rev. Griffin W. Bull, D.D., for many years pastor of the First Presbyterian 
Church in Scranton, and daughter of the late G. M. and Mary Lyle Eggleston. She 
was a native of Prince Edward County, Va., and was in the 74th year of her age.
Besides Mrs. Deal, Mrs. Bull is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Ruhland Rebman, 
of Haverford, Pa., and Mrs. Worman Edgar, of Chester Springs, Pa., and seven 
grandchildren. Following funeral services in Scranton, the body will be brought 
to Norfolk for private interment in Elmwood Cemetery Saturday, the hour to be 
set later.
