Norfolk Virginian Pilot November 2, 1943

George Robert Bunch, aged 52, of 101 Liberty Street, South Norfolk, died 
yesterday afternoon at 2:18 o'clock at a local hospital after an illness of 
seven weeks. A native of Chowan County, N.C., he had made his home here for 30 
years. He was the son of the late Richard D. and Martha E. Spruill Bunch and 
husband of Mrs. Lilly Norris Bunch. In addition to his wife he is survived by a 
sister, Mrs. J. T. West, of Plymouth, N.C.; two brothers, K.B. Bunch, of 
Edenton, N.C. and H.E. Bunch, of Norfolk; several nieces and nephews. The body 
was removed to the Graham Funeral Home, Jackson and Jefferson Streets, South 
Norfolk. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday morning at 10 o'clock from 
St. Matthew's Catholic Church. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.
